This right is exercised pursuant to Article 17 and Article 19 of the General Data Protection Act and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1998 to 2018.

Grounds for Erasure of Data:

Pursuant to GDPR Article 17 and Article 19 of the GDPR, I am requesting the erasure of my personal data without undue delay.

Under Article 17, the legal basis for demanding erasure of this personal data is as follows:

1. The retention of my personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which it was collected or processed.

2. I object to the processing of my personal data for direct marketing purposes.

3. The personal data has been collected in relation to the offer of information society services referred to in Article 8(1).

In light of the above grounds, I urge your organisation take swift action to erase the data described.

- exercise of freedom of expression and/or information;

- compliance with a legal obligation;

- the performance of a task in the public interest or reasons in the public interest in the area of public health;

- archiving purpose in the public interest; and

- the establishment of a legal claim or the defense of a legal claim.

In the unlikely event, the Data Controller seeks to argue that the Data Subject's request is subject to a lawful exception to the right to be forgotten on one of the above grounds, please forward your arguments to this effect as soon as possible.

Where you have made any of my personal data public, I further require that you take reasonable steps, taking account of available technology and the cost of implementation, to inform any other controllers processing this personal data that I have requested the erasure of any links to, or copies or replications of, my personal data.
