I am writing to respectfully request the abatement (cancellation) of a penalty assessed against me by the Internal Revenue Service (the “Service”), pursuant to my right to request relief for reasonable cause under Internal Revenue Code (“IRC”) § 6651, IRC § 6656, IRC § 6662, and/or such other section as may apply, together with Treasury Regulation § 301.6651-1(c) and the standards set forth in Internal Revenue Manual § 20.1.1.3.
