RE: REJECTION OF SETTLEMENT OFFER AND REQUEST FOR REVISED VALUATION

1. I write further to your letter dated ________ in which you offered the sum of \u00a3________ (________) in settlement of my claim in respect of the damage sustained to my vehicle, registration number ________, arising out of the incident which occurred on ________.

2. I acknowledge receipt of your offer and thank you for your attention to my claim. However, for the reasons set out below, I am unable to accept the offer as it presently stands.

3. Since receiving your offer I have obtained an independent valuation of my vehicle from ________, dated ________. That valuation assesses the open market value of my vehicle, as at the date of the above incident, at \u00a3________ (________).

5. In light of the foregoing, I formally reject your offer of \u00a3________ and request that you reconsider and revise it, taking proper account of the enclosed independent valuation and any other evidence relevant to the value of my vehicle.

6. I enclose with this letter a copy of the independent valuation referred to above for your consideration. I should be grateful if you would confirm what further information or documentation, if any, you require in order to reassess my claim.
