Respected Sir/Madam,
§ 1. Reference
1.1 We refer to the agreement titled "________" dated ________ executed by and between the Sender and the Recipient (the "Existing Contract"), a true copy of which is annexed hereto and marked as Annexure-A.
1.2 We further refer to the discussion held between the authorised representatives of the parties on ________, during which the Recipient indicated its agreement, in principle, to the extension of the term of the Existing Contract.
§ 2. Request for Extension
2.1 The term of the Existing Contract is scheduled to expire on ________.
2.2 Pursuant to and in accordance with Clause ________ (Renewal/Extension) of the Existing Contract and Section 62 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872, we hereby request and propose to extend the term of the Existing Contract for a further period of ________, with effect from ________ and ending on ________ (the "Extended Term").
§ 3. Terms During the Extended Term
3.1 Save and except for the variation in the term as set out in § 2 above and the revised consideration of ________ (if any), all other terms, conditions, covenants, rights and obligations contained in the Existing Contract shall remain unaltered, in full force and effect, and shall continue to bind the parties during the Extended Term.
3.3 In the event of any conflict between the terms of this letter and the Existing Contract in relation to the term of the agreement, the terms of this letter shall prevail to the extent of such conflict.

4.1 Any stamp duty payable on this letter of extension/amendment under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 or the applicable State Stamp legislation shall be borne by ________.
