1. Purpose of this letter

1.1 I am writing to formally report that I have been the victim of a cryptocurrency fraud and to request that you investigate the matter and take such action as may be appropriate. I make this report on the understanding that the information provided is true to the best of my knowledge and belief.

1.2 Where appropriate, I understand that this report may also be referred to or recorded by Action Fraud (the UK’s national fraud and cyber crime reporting centre) and the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau. 3. Legal basis

3.2 The conduct may further engage section 3 (fraud by failing to disclose information) and section 4 (fraud by abuse of position) of the Fraud Act 2006, as well as the offences of theft contrary to the Theft Act 1968 and offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 in respect of the handling or laundering of the proceeds.

3.3 In addition to any criminal investigation, I reserve all of my civil rights and remedies in respect of this matter, including (without limitation) claims in deceit, unjust enrichment, breach of trust and proprietary tracing claims against the cryptocurrency and its traceable proceeds, together with any application for injunctive or freezing relief.

4. Loss suffered

4.1 As a direct result of this fraud, I have suffered a financial loss of £________ (________), being the sterling value of the cryptocurrency transferred as at the date of the transaction.
