Dear Sir/Madam,
§ 1. Tender of Resignation. I, the undersigned, presently employed with ________ (the “Company”) in the capacity of ________ in the ________ department, having joined the services of the Company on ________, do hereby voluntarily and unconditionally tender my resignation from the said position and from the employment of the Company. Kindly treat this letter as the formal written notice of resignation required under the terms of my employment.
§ 2. Notice Period. In accordance with the terms and conditions of my appointment letter/employment agreement dated ________ and the applicable Standing Orders/Service Rules of the Company, I undertake to serve the contractual notice period of ________, commencing from the date hereof. Accordingly, my last working day shall be ________, unless the Company, at its sole discretion, agrees to waive or curtail the said notice period in writing.
§ 3. Handover and Transition. During the notice period, I shall diligently complete the orderly handover of all duties, responsibilities, documents, files, electronic data, passwords, and pending assignments to such person(s) as may be nominated by the Company, and shall extend full cooperation to ensure a smooth transition.
§ 4. Return of Company Property. On or before my last working day, I undertake to return to the Company all property belonging to it, including but not limited to identity cards, access cards, laptops, mobile devices, SIM cards, keys, documents, records, and any other material or confidential information in my possession or control.
§ 7. Statutory Benefits. I request the Company to facilitate the transfer/withdrawal of my Provident Fund accumulations under the Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, settlement of gratuity (if eligible) under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, and any other statutory benefits to which I may be entitled.
§ 8. Relieving and Experience Documents. Kindly confirm acceptance of this resignation in writing and arrange to issue my relieving letter, experience certificate, and Form 16/other tax documents on or before my last working day. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any matters that may need to be addressed prior to my departure.
§ 9. Acknowledgement of Goodwill. I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure with the Company and wish to record my sincere gratitude for the opportunities for professional and personal development extended to me during my employment. It has been a privilege to be associated with the organisation, and I remain grateful for the support and guidance I have received throughout my service.
