RE: Return of Security Deposit in Respect of the Tenancy at ________

I am writing further to the residential tenancy agreement entered into between ________ (the “Landlord”) and ________ (the “Tenant”) dated ________ (the “Tenancy Agreement”), in respect of the rental premises municipally described as ________ (the “Premises”), which tenancy was governed by the residential tenancy legislation in force in the Province of ________ (the “Act”).

This letter confirms the following:

1. The Tenant paid to the Landlord at the commencement of the tenancy a security deposit in the amount of $________ (________ dollars) (the “Deposit”).
2. The Tenant vacated and delivered up possession of the Premises on ________, having provided proper notice and otherwise complied with the obligations of the Tenancy Agreement and the Act.

The Landlord thanks the Tenant for maintaining the Premises in good and clean condition, for complying with the terms of the Tenancy Agreement, and for providing adequate notice prior to vacating the Premises.
