I am the tenant of the residential premises located at ________ (the "Premises") pursuant to a residential tenancy agreement dated ________ (the "Tenancy Agreement"). I am writing to request, in good faith, a short extension of time within which to remit my rent owing under the Tenancy Agreement.

§ 1. Background. The monthly rent for the Premises is ________, payable on the ________ day of each month. My rent in the amount of ________ became due and payable on ________.

§ 2. Reason for Request. I am presently experiencing temporary financial hardship arising from the following circumstances: ________. As a result, I am unable to remit the full amount of rent on the date it fell due.
